Who is behind this web site
The idea to create hyperbaric-oxygen-info.com was inspired by my neighbor and friend, a seasoned Physiology Professor Gennady G. Rogatsky, who explores Hyperbaric Oxygen for the last 35 years of his scientific career and who has infected me with the feeling that anyone who had explored, experienced or just aware of the healing powers of Hyperbaric Oxygen, can do something in order to foster public awareness of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
Gennadys passion to that mission is based on his rich scientific experience and evidence. I was so excited listening to the stories from his early practice in Russia, dating back to the 1970s. Then, in the middle of his scientific career, while working as a Chief of the Chest Trauma Research Unit of Sklifosovsky Emergency Medicine Institute, Moscow, he continuously witnessed the healing effects of HBOT on patients been in acute conditions as well as the life-saving effect of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy on critically injured patients.
Prof. Rogatsky believes that Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy should play more active role in the future of medicine, especially in the critical care medicine. If HBOT were utilized much more extensively by emergency units, he insists, the number of casualties in crush incidents, military conflicts, terrorist attacks, gas poisoning and others would be reduced.

My name is Leonid Faktorovich, I'm working in the field of Information Technologies called BI (Business Inelligence). BI technologies provide online analytical processing and data mining of historical, current, and predictive views of business operations, helping to support better business decision-making.
For the last eight years, before accepting a new career position, I used to work in the industry of Professional Congress Organizers (PCO) providing database management services to Medical Associations and Medical Conferences worldwide.
Initially I was supposed to create several web pages devoted to Prof. Rogatsky, so that some of his scientific publications on the subject of HBOT would be available in one place online.
However, while starting to prepare the content, I have decided to extend the scope of the mission and create yet another online information resource promoting public awareness of the undoubtedly healing powers of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
